Autumn is just getting started, but the holiday season will arrive before you know it. Tickets for NOVA Parks’ holiday light shows at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Bull Run Regional Park, and Cameron Run Regional Park go on sale Monday, October 7.
Here’s what to expect from the experiences.
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens
November 8–January 5, 2025
Vienna’s botanical gardens transform into a winter wonderland with a half-mile walk full of elaborate light displays. Visitors young and old will enjoy spotting flowers, forest creatures, fish, and more fun designs made of lights. Visitors can also enjoy hot chocolate and other concessions. Bull Run Festival of Lights
November 15–January 5, 2025
Load the whole family in the car for this magical family experience, known as the largest drive-through light show in Virginia. Bull Run Regional Park will have a dazzling display of holiday lights and fairy-tale vignettes. The drive-through experience includes 2.5 miles of attractions. When you’re done with the drive, head to the holiday village and carnival for bonfires, s’mores, rides, and more. 770 Bull Run Dr., Centreville, $30–$40
Ice & Lights at Cameron Run Regional Park
November 15–February 14
Head to Cameron Run for a family-friendly winter event with ice skating and light displays. The winter village is full of winter-themed light displays, including a 100-foot tunnel arch, a walk-through tree, and an interactive orb field where visitors can snap photos and enjoy the views. Guests can purchase passes to skate either at night or during the day. If you want to go all out, rent a cabana for $65. 4001 Eisenhower Ave., Alexandria, $8.55–$21.01
