ARTECHOUSE DC’s New Exhibit Takes You 1,000 Meters Below Sea Level

See how trillions of creatures live their lives in the deep depths of the ocean.

Thanks to ARTECHOUSE DC’s new exhibit, you can travel to the deep depths of the sea without taking a step into the ocean. Twilight Zone: Hidden Wonders of the Ocean, opening this weekend, lets you explore the ocean’s twilight zone like never before.

The new exhibit will open on Saturday, September 14. Visitors will learn about the nightly migration of the trillion inhabitants of the ocean twilight zone, around 200 to 1,000 meters below the surface of the ocean.

“This fall, we are thrilled to partner with WHOI to once again transform science into art with this mesmerizing exhibition delving into the mysteries of the deep,” said Sandro Kereselidze, founder and chief creative officer of ARTECHOUSE.

The main highlight of the exhibit is the 24-minute cinematic film. With an immersive 270-degree projection, this video narrates the 24-hour cycle of a Diel Vertical Migration.

The exhibit will also feature six interactive installations that explore topics like cutting-edge ships and robots and six XR activations. Plus, guests can enjoy signature drinks from the ARTECHOUSE XR Bar.

General admission tickets start at $25, with Anytime tickets starting at $30. Tickets for children ages 4 to 17 start at $17, and children under 4 can visit for free. DMV-area residents get $5 off the price of admission during off-peak hours, with proof of residency.

The experience is open Thursday through Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
