Visitors to National Landing can now take advantage of Club Volo, a recreational space with beach volleyball courts, thanks to a partnership between real estate developer JBG SMITH and adult social sports company Volo Sports.
“Volo Sports believes in the power of promoting a social, active lifestyle for people of all ages, and Club Volo is a great step toward that mission in the Arlington community,” according to a news release.

Club Volo, a temporary-use recreational site, is located at 223 23rd St. in Arlington and features four lit beach volleyball courts, with onsite bathrooms and plans for food and beverage options in the future.
Volo Sports will soon implement sports programming at the facility, including organized league play, open community hours, youth play, corporate retreats, and more. Volo said it expects to add to the facility, with plans to add temporary community pickleball courts by spring 2025.

“Our pop-up partnership with Volo Sports not only expands upon the vast public spaces we are adding to National Landing but works to actively build community in the area,” said Amy Rice, senior vice president of retail leasing at JBG SMITH, in a news release. “We look forward to seeing residents, neighbors and visitors out on the courts!”
This is one of many recent placemaking efforts from JBG SMITH in the National Landing area, following the introduction of 11 new restaurants in Water Park.
