The Flying Circus Airshow, a fun family event, is back in Bealeton every Sunday through October.

The show features formation flying demonstrations, aerobatics, classic comedy routines, and wing walkers.

According to a news release, a number of antique airplanes, including Stearmans, WACOs, Cubs, and Champs are used during the performances.

The shows are held at 2:30 p.m. on Sundays, weather permitting. They end at 4 p.m. On Mother’s Day, the planes will be doing a flower drop. And on May 21, all kids 16 and under get in free.

Admission to the circus runs $20 for adults, $10 for children between 5 and 12, and it’s free for anybody under 5.

For the adventurous, you can take a ride in a plane either before or after the airshow. Rides start at 11 a.m. They cost $100 for a standard ride that lasts about eight to 10 minutes and has some steep turns and $180 for an aerobatic ride that lasts about 15 minutes and includes spins and rolls. You need to be at least 16 for the aerobatic rides.

This will be the 52nd consecutive year for the Flying Circus Airshow, the longest continuously running show in the state. The aerodrome is located at 5114 Ritchie Rd. in Bealeton.
