Time for a road trip! I’m excited to see the light displays of the Chinese Lantern Festival in Philadelphia. I still can hardly believe how close we are to the City of Brotherly love here in NoVA and I’m going to celebrate with a Chinese bite or two to accompany my sightseeing. –Alice Levitt, food editor/critic

Getting Schooled
If I’m being honest, I have been streaming non-stop for the last two months. Everything from The Crown to The Nevers to The Masked Singer has been on my screen on an almost nightly basis. It is now time to take a break from my binge watching to workout my brain. To do this, I’ll be learning about all of those trees in DC and why they are so important to life in the District. It is the perfect belated Earth Day and pre-Arbor Day celebration. –Michele Kettner, associate digital & research editor

Michele Kettner joined Northern Virginia Magazine in 2020 after spending two semesters as an editorial intern at the magazine.
