If your heart sings, “I just want to be part of your world,” like Ariel’s from The Little Mermaid, grab your tail fins and swim your way to Manassas.

MerMagic Con, a three-day convention dedicated to all things mermaid, is returning to NoVA from Friday, Feb. 21 to Sunday, Feb. 23. The event will include underwater photo shoots, vendors of mermaidwear and accessories, expert trainers and, of course, lots of swimming.

Attendees of all ages are welcome to experience the event, which will host meet and greets with mermaid celebrities and workshops on free diving, choosing the right tail, underwater movement and making ‘mer-cessories.’ Children 12 years and younger will have access to youth mermaid classes, hands-on crafts, an all-day splash zone, story time and more.

For the adults, meet and mingle with other finned friends in open swim sessions, or attend workshops such as “Creating Your Mer-Sona” and “I”m Mer-Mazing: Creating a Mermaid Resume.”

On Saturday, the formal MerMagic Con Gala will bring together attendees over 21 with an open bar and plenty of socializing.

The event is co-hosted by Metro Merfolk and Circus Siren Entertainment. No matter what you’re looking for, there’s something for everyone to experience under the sea. // Freedom Aquatic Center: 9100 Freedom Center Blvd., Manassas; $25-$299
