Have you ever seen 2 million pounds of ice in one room? Probably not, but this holiday season, you’ll get that chance and much more at ICE! at Gaylord National.

The annual event at Gaylord National’s resort at National Harbor will feature Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas and will run from Friday, Nov. 15 through Monday, Dec. 30, featuring hand-carved ice sculptures (made from more than 2 million pounds of ice) that tell the story of how the Grinch tries to steal Christmas from the Whos of Whoville.

The interactive displays are set inside the resort’s Christmas Village, kept at a cold 9 degrees. Bundle up for the self-guided walk-through that lasts between 15 and 30 minutes. There will also be four, two-story-tall ice slides and ice sculptures dedicated to the Nativity scene.

Afterward, patrons can head to the Cocoa Shoppe, where there’s hot cocoa and sweet treats. Families can also choose to attend a Feast with the Grinch. For $27 per child and $40 per adult, the Grinch himself will join guests for a breakfast experience that includes a Whoville-inspired buffet and tableside visits with The Grinch and Max.

Other offerings at the Gaylord will include the Reindeer Rush Ice Tubing, a 15-foot, four-lane ice tubing hill; ice skating at Winter Square; the Cirque Dreams Unwrapped show; gingerbread decorating; a light show at the atrium; photos with Santa; storytelling with Mrs. Claus; a Grinch-themed scavenger hunt; and a train ride for children that takes them to the “North Pole.”

Packages can also be purchased that include a VIP carver showcase, which is a private, live ice carving demonstration by artisans from Harbin, China; a silent disco party on the ice skating rink; pajama story time with Snowflake the Elf; and unlimited, priority entrance into ICE! with a special “extra cool hour” admission.
