Ever wonder how local parks stay so pristine? Well, they do it with the help of volunteers.
Interested in donating your time to local parks? Across Northern Virginia, parks are welcoming the fall season and cooler temperatures with cleanup events through November. Litter and debris can pile up after busy summer months, and it’s time to ensure the parks are ready for fall and the upcoming winter season.

Watershed Cleanup Days in Fairfax County
Bring the whole family for a trash scavenger hunt and fill your trash bag with discarded items to freshen up low-lying areas, avoid waterway blockages and protect local wildlife. Volunteers can sign up beforehand online and will be provided with gloves, bags and other accessories for trash and debris pick up.
