For the first time since Lollapalooza in 2011, the Australian folk band Boy & Bear will return to the U.S. to play at Jammin’ Java in Vienna. This Sunday, the band will perform songs from their new album “Harlequin Dream” to headline the show.

“It’s really exciting for us as it’s been a few years since we’ve toured here. It’s such a big place and quite different from home so we’re really looking forward to getting out there and playing our songs and hanging out,” said band member Jon Hart, who plays banjo, mandolin and keyboards.

Fresh off their performances at SXSW in Austin, Texas, Boy & Bear’s lead single “Southern Sun” cracked the Top 10 on Billboard’s Triple A chart.

Hart said he is looking forward to playing their first show here in Virginia with his brother, and band mate, Tim.

“It’s cool to come to Northern Virginia because Tim and I have both traveled through Virginia before, so it’s nice to be here actually playing a show.”

The band has confirmed future performances at the upcoming Firefly and Sasquatch music festivals this summer in Delaware and Washington.

Until then,  Take a listen to their single “Southern Sun” below, and their album “Harlequin Dream” is available on iTunes.
