Shop Local at This New Farmers Market in Alexandria

The new market will run on Thursdays this fall.

By Maggie Roth September 22, 2025 at 10:25 am

Alexandria-area shoppers have a new option for fresh produce. The King Street Station Farmers Market held its first event on Thursday, September 18, and the markets are scheduled every Thursday through October 30.

The new market takes place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekly at 1800 Diagonal Rd. It’s located directly across from the King Street Metro Station and accessible by Metro’s Blue and Yellow lines.

The King Street Station Farmers Market is free to attend, but you can register for a free ticket to receive updates.

This new event is sponsored by the King Street Station Association. Organizers are currently accepting applications for vendors and other market exhibitors, including buskers, community partners and nonprofits, and sponsors.

This is the sixth farmers market in Alexandria, joining longstanding events like the Old Town Farmers Market.
