Cherry Lane Gift Shop Opens in Vienna

You can find home décor and gift options at this new boutique on Church Street.

Nutcrackers, gingerbread houses, and sweet pink Christmas trees are nestled amid jewelry, stuffed animals, and cozy winter hats in Vienna’s new boutique gift shop, Cherry Lane.

Sarah Randall opened her shop at 115 Church St. NW just in time for the holidays, following a year of preparation.

A recent weekend visit at the store, located between Café de Vienna and Le Bistro, found customers popping in to buy Nutcracker-themed tumblers and kids’ items — and chatting with Randall and her daughter Stella, 16, about being happy to see a gift shop back in downtown Vienna.

Although lots of holiday merchandise fills the space now, Randall plans to carry “gifts for all ages, men and women, kids, teenagers, babies, and then also home décor and furniture as well,” she says.

As for the shop’s name, it’s a nod to several women in her family.

“Cherry is my middle name, my mother’s middle name, my daughter’s middle name, and my grandmother’s maiden name,” she says.

Randall, a resident of Vienna for 18 years, worked in marketing before she took time off to raise her four children, who are teens now and help out at the store. She says she’s excited to have found a spot available on busy Church Street to open her business.

Cherry Lane’s hours may shift week to week while it’s in a soft opening phase. It’s typically open Wednesdays through Sundays but will have Tuesday hours this week. You can find the week’s hours on the store’s Instagram @thecherrylane. A grand opening is slated for February.
