One Loudoun Breaks Ground on New Expansion

The new addition will bring more retail space, offices, and multifamily units to the development.

By Michele Kettner October 23, 2024 at 11:51 am

The shopping district at One Loudoun is continuing to grow. The Ashburn mixed-use development broke ground on its latest expansion on Tuesday, kicking off the new phase at One Loudoun.

The expansion project will add 86,000 square feet of retail space, a full-service business hotel, at least 23,000 square feet of office space, and 400 luxury multifamily units.

“This next chapter of One Loudoun will build upon the energy and momentum of this premium, one-of-a-kind asset,” said Greg Goldberg, vice president of leasing at Kite Realty Group, in a recent news release. “We look forward to bolstering One Loudoun’s status as a top-tier destination by continuing to introduce all-new retailers, restaurants, and residences designed to foster inspiration, relaxation, and community.”

The new expansion already has a number of tenants in place, including Arhaus, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Bartaco, and Tatte Bakery and Café. More brands and restaurants will be named in the coming months.

Renderings also feature a grass-covered area in front of Bartaco that will be transformed into a winter ice rink during the colder months.

This isn’t the first addition at the Ashburn development. The most recently completed addition at One Loudoun added Lululemon, Warby Parker, Sephora, and Sweetgreen to the shopping center’s list of shops and services.
