While you probably don’t need an excuse to go shopping, you have one for the weekend of June 8–9. Those days are designated as National Outlet Shopping Day.
Area outlets have deals if you sign up for their savings guides. Major chains are offering savings of 40 to 80 percent, according outlet websites.
Leesburg Premium Outlets
At Leesburg Premium Outlets, there are events for kids on National Outlet Shopping Day. Rocknoceros plays the hits from 1 to 3 p.m. both days.
From 1 to 5 p.m. both days, kids can grab a balloon near the Polo Ralph Lauren Store, get their faces painted, and get glitter tattoos. A 360 photo booth will be set up near The Children’s Place Store from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
In front of the Loft store from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, you can spin a wheel to win swim lessons and swag from Aqua-Tots Leesburg Station. You also can spin the wheel in front of the Nike Factory Store starting at noon to wins prizes, while supplies last.
On Sunday, the Loudoun School of Ballet performs at 3 p.m.
And some stores are offering gifts with a purchase, including Coach Outlet, Tory Burch, and Vineyard Vines. 241 Fort Evans Rd. NE, Leesburg
Potomac Mills
At Potomac Mills, you can grab a free tote both days at the Grand Court near TJ Maxx. From noon to 4 p.m., the mall will have a tie-dye station and a prize wheel. 2700 Potomac Mills Cir., Woodbridge
Clarksburg Premium Outlets
If you venture into Maryland and up Interstate 270 to the Clarksburg Premium Outlets, you can get a free tote. Plus, the outlets plan to have live entertainment, face painters, balloon artists, selfie stations, giveaways, and food trucks. 22705 Clarksburg Rd., Clarksburg, Maryland
Queenstown Premium Outlets
For those heading to or back from the beach, the Queenstown Premium Outlets on U.S. 50 in Maryland will have character appearances, games, prizes, face painting and free totes. The food trucks, Spankys and Fun-O-Kake & Fried Chicken, will be on hand. 441 Outlet Center Dr., Queenstown, Maryland
