Support Fairfax County Libraries at Used Book Sales This Spring

Find used books for kids and adults, plus CDs and DVDs.

There’s no need to spend a fortune on brand-new books — various Friends of the Library groups throughout Fairfax County are holding used book sales this spring that can help you stock your bookshelves for a lower price, all while supporting the library.  

Shoppers will find “gently used” books, CDs, and DVDs at a discounted rate. And all proceeds support the library..  

Here are some of the used library book sales that are happening soon:

George Mason Friends Spring Book Sale 

April 19–April 21, 10 a.m.–5:30 p.m. 

George Mason Regional Library: 7001 Little River Tpk., Annandale 

Friends of Oakton Library Spring Book Sale 

April 24–27

Oakton Library: 10304 Lynnhaven Pl., Oakton 

Friends of the Great Falls Library 

April 25–27

A sale preview event is scheduled for April 25 for a $20 entry, and the sale will end with a $5 bag sale on April 27 from 4 to 5 p.m. 

Great Falls Library: 9830 Georgetown Pk., Great Falls 

Friends of the Chantilly Library Used Book Sale 

April 24; April 26–April 28 

Wednesday, April 24 is a members-only preview event, although you can join at the door for $10.

Chantilly Regional Library: 4000 Stringfellow Rd., Chantilly 

Friends of the Centreville Library Book Sale 

April 26–28 

Centreville Regional Library: 14200 Saint Germain Dr., Centreville 

Big Spring Sale at the Reston Regional Library 

May 1–May 5 

May 1 is a members-only day to shop the main room, with a lobby preview open to all.  

Reston Regional Library: 11925 Bowman Towne Dr., Reston 

Friends of the Martha Washington Library Book Sale 

May 3–4 

Martha Washington Library: 6614 Fort Hunt Rd., Alexandria 

First Saturday Book Sale at Sherwood Regional Library 

May 4 

Sherwood Regional Library: 2501 Sherwood Hall Ln., Alexandria
