Carlyle Crossing to See 7 New Businesses Open

More businesses plan to move into Alexandria, including a new brewery, doggy day care, and a workout studio.

More businesses plan to move into one growing area of Alexandria—Carlyle Crossing in the Eisenhower East neighborhood. Carlyle Crossing sits on Mandeville Lane, within walking distance to the Eisenhower Metro station, the National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office building.

Here are some of the new restaurants, breweries, and services you can expect to open over the next year in the 1.7-million-square-foot mixed-use development, anchored by Wegmans.

Atlas Brew Works

The brewery that operates out of DC’s Ivy City and on Half Street signed a lease for a 6,600-square-foot space. This will be the first foray into Virginia for the solar-powered brewery.

Bash Boxing

Getting you in shape with a combination of boxing, HIIT and full-body strength training, these 45-minute group classes are a fitness favorite. The workout studio has leased a 2,200-square-foot space expected to open next year, its fifth in the Virginia region.

Beyond Dental

The boutique dental franchise has leased 6,000 square feet of space, to offer multi-specialty services, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and periodontics.

Celebree School

Opening in almost 14,000-square feet of space in April 2023, the daycare center will accommodate almost 200 children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It offers after-school programs and camps for school-age children as well. Celebree has dozens of locations across the region, including four in Virginia. The Carlyle location will have about 30 staffers onsite with weekday hours from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

District Dogs

DC-based District Dogs brings dog day care, dog boarding, dog grooming, puppy school and dog training, and dog walking to Carlyle. The 4,000-square-foot location is the eighth one for the firm.

Salon Lofts

Salon Lofts is leasing 6,500 square feet to hair stylists, massage therapists, nail technicians, and waxing and threading experts. Individual businesses renting space from Salon Lofts will set their own schedules.

Ted’s Bulletin and Sidekick Bakery

Ted’s Bulletin and its stand-alone store for its Sidekick Bakery will open in a combined 7,500 square feet of space, to bring their modern take on American comfort food to Eisenhower East. Ted’s, which serves breakfast all day, lunch, dinner, has six locations throughout the DMV. Sidekick will sell baked goods, sandwiches, and hot and cold drinks.
