Sister duo behind Mint Condition set to open new concept this August

Mint Collective, located directly next door to the boutique consignment shop in Old Town, will feature accessories, home goods and apparel from several high-quality brands.

By Jess Feldman August 4, 2020 at 4:30 pm

It’s official: Old Town will have yet another boutique shop for NoVA residents to peruse through in the coming weeks, thanks to the local sister duo behind consignment shop Mint Condition.

Cheekily dubbed Mint Collective, the 300-square-foot space, owned and operated by Katie Coslov and Megan Podolsky, will offer everything from beauty products to dog accessories to approachable clothing pieces that won’t break the bank. According to Coslov, the space—adjacent to Mint Condition—became available within the last couple of months and is owned by the same landlord as its neighboring storefront.

“We’ve always wanted to incorporate retail in our current space, but sometimes it can be overlooked with all the consignment,” says Coslov. “So this space was perfect for our retail. It’s 300 square feet and just enough room to showcase all our favorite things.”

Featured brands stocked on the shelves include denim curator Pistola, women’s brand Line and Dot, London-born traffic people and more. Plus, local residents will recognize NoVA-based brands like Dmaran Designs, 52Thursdays and also Mint Collective’s very own line of candles made by a local artist.

So, mark your calendars, as Mint Collective currently has a soft-opening date set for Friday, Aug. 14. // 101-A Saint Asaph St., Alexandria
