Saks Fifth Avenue Partners with Saturday Night Live and Tigerlily Foundation
Designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of the celebrated label rag & bone have designed this year’s limited edition tee exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2014 Key To The Cure campaign having raised $35 million dollars in the last 15 years. For the first time since its inception, the tee will be unisex, giving both men and women a chance to represent the cause. The shirt will be sold in stores as well as online at saks.com and saksoff5th.com for $35. Notable SNL cast members, both past and present, such as Will Ferrell, Vanessa Bayer and Colin Jost among others will be featured in wearing the tee in public service announcement in major lifestyle magazines. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Tigerlily Foundation for research on better treatments, earlier detection methods for women’s cancer. The tee will debut in stores starting October 1.
A kickoff event for Saks Fifth Avenue charity shopping weekend, will be held at Saks Fifth Avenue Tyson’s Corner Galleria on October 15 from 6:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and can be bought at by visiting this link.
Fall Fashion Preview to Benefit SAFE
On Thursday October 2 from 6–9 p.m. in Culpeper, The Cameleer, Green Roost, Harriet’s General and Pepperberries will hold their first annual Fall Fashion Preview to benefit SAFE also known as Services to Benefit Abused Families, INC. Attendees will be able shop new fall merchandise, exclusive trunk shows after hours and ever enter to win prizes all while helping to raise awareness for domestic violence prevention. Enjoy a ladies night out while supporting an important cause. Tickets are $15 dollars and 100% of the profits will be donated locally to SAFE. Tickets are available now at all four stores or can be purchased the night of the event – but with limited tickets, early purchasing is encouraged.
10th Anniversary Premium Denim Event at South Moon Under
From October 4–26, South Moon Under will be showcasing full price men and women’s denim at 20% off, an annual event held by the boutique chain. Customers will be given the chance to shop with store stylist to find the right pair of denim. Featured brands will include Joe’s Jeans, J Brand, Citizens of Humanity, Blank and Hudson.
