Police Release Video of Nude Centreville Burglary Suspect

A London Towne resident’s home surveillance system recorded the suspect attempting to enter a back door.

Fairfax County Police detectives say the same nude burglary suspect attempted to enter another home in Centreville. And this time, he was caught on video.

On April 1, officers responded to the 14800 block of Palmerston Square in Centreville for a suspicious person report. The London Towne resident contacted police after receiving an alert from the home’s surveillance system just after 5 a.m.

The video captured a fully nude male with what detectives believe to be an article of clothing on his head. He approached the home’s rear sliding glass door, looked inside, and attempted to open the door. When the door did not open, he fled toward a nearby wooded area.

Detectives believe this suspect may be connected to the previously reported burglaries in the London Towne neighborhood. On March 5, 6, 7, and 8, the nude suspect entered or attempted to enter four homes within about a half mile radius of one another.

Based on the newly obtained video, the suspect is now described as a Black male, approximately 6’1” to 6’3” tall with a skinny build.

Anyone with information can call the Sully District Station at 703-814-7000 and ask to speak with a detective. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online or by phone at 1-866-411-8477.
