Public art enthusiasts, plan to make a trip to Leesburg. This weekend, two new 3D-style murals were added to the heart of downtown.
Located on the entrances to Lassiter Way, next to the Town Hall parking garage, these asphalt murals showcase the things that make Leesburg and Loudoun County beautiful.

One, by Danielle Ferrin, was inspired by the Leesburg Flower and Garden Show and depicts colorful flowers and pollinators coming to life with a 3D effect. The other mural, by Ennedi Shtanko, depicts a stairwell descending into the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by greenery.
These new murals are part of the Lassiter Way Beautification Project. In June 2024, Leesburg Movement was awarded a $15,000 grant from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development to help bring these pieces of art, along with other landscaping details, to life. The project invited artists to submit mural designs that followed the theme “Wonderfully Leesburg.”
Both murals on Lassiter Way are now complete, with a ribbon cutting scheduled for November 14 at 5 p.m.
