The next season of ABC’s American Idol will feature Leesburg’s Sela Campbell. Campbell is seen on the promotional video for Season 22 of the show.
The reality music competition airs for 8 to 10 p.m. on Sundays, with the first episode set for Sunday, February 18.
Campbell is a senior at Loudoun County High School. According to her website, she started taking guitar lessons at the age of 5.
“I play gigs at established wineries and breweries all around Loudoun County. I play mostly country music, with a good mix of old classics and new hits, and a few non-country songs that I love,” she said on her site.
This season’s judges on American Idol will be Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. This will be the last season with Perry as a judge, she said on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday.
Sela Campbell will perform between 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, February 17 at the Winery at Sunshine Ridge Farm in Gainesville and during the Cannon Fire Country Music Festival in Burkittsville, Maryland, on Saturday, May 4.
