College baseball fans, the season starts this month at Capital One Park for the Marymount Saints and next month for the Georgetown Hoyas.
The Tysons field will be the home stadium for both teams this year.
The Saints open the season with a two-day, three-game stand against Hampden-Sydney on Saturday, February 17. The Saturday game starts at 2 p.m., while the doubleheader on Sunday, February 18 begins at noon.
The following weekend, Marymount plays another three-game stand against Lycoming.
Georgetown starts its season against Fairleigh Dickinson University at 3 p.m. Friday, March 1, with games on March 2 and 3. The following weekend, the Hoyas play Cornell.
The Hoyas are also set to play the University of Maryland, George Mason, and George Washington, while Marymount takes on Randolph-Macon and Christopher Newport.
Capital One Park hosts the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament on May 9-11 and the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament the following weekend.
In its second season, this state-of-the-art stadium, which has 300 fixed seats and 350 spots in the bleachers, will have additional bleacher seating, a merchandise kiosk, a rentable party deck, and locker rooms.
The stadium that sits across from Wegmans also hosts select high school games and serves as the home to The Potomac Summer League. The league of baseball players from Virginia, Maryland, and DC plays its whole season there.
Games range in price from $2 to $10, with free access for children and seniors. Starr Hill Brewery provides the concessions. 1820 Dolley Madison Dr., Tysons
