Health officials are advising people to stop eating romaine lettuce due to a new outbreak of E. Coli. The FDA is asking that stores remove romaine lettuce from their shelves and people should throw any they have at home out until the source of the contamination is found.

After leaky roofs, mold and asbestos have been discovered in multiple Alexandria schools, the Alexandria City Council has approved $525,000 in emergency money for a $1.4 million roof replacement at Mount Vernon Community School, which is expected to start in December.

On Tuesday morning, a group of thieves crashed a truck into a Woodbridge 7-11 and put an ATM in the bed of the truck. During their exit, the ATM ended up falling out of the back of the truck and was left behind. Police are investigating the attempted burglary.
