Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s financial involvement in the senate campaign of FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe’s wife proves his opponent, Hillary Clinton, bought influence in the federal investigation of her private email server due to her association with McAuliffe. However, McCabe did not become involved in the Clinton investigation until after McCabe’s wife’s campaign was over.
