Corey Stewart fired from Trump campaign; ‘Girls’ actress Lena Dunham to campaign in Rosslyn for Clinton

Northern Virginia’s daily dose of local and national news for Tuesday, Oct. 11.

By Editorial October 11, 2016 at 8:30 am

Corey Stewart, Prince William County Board‘s chairman who’s planning to run in the 2017 gubernatorial race, was fired as co-chair for Donald Trump’s Virginia campaign for his part in a protest outside of the Republican National Committee, which he believes hasn’t invested enough in the party’s nominee. Stewart claims Trump’s deputy campaign manager “threatened” him over the protest, but Stewart says he still endorses Trump.
