8 Chains North, a popular winery in Waterford, is now on the market. The property is listed for $3,950,000 and includes nearly 14 acres of land, the winery’s production facilities and hospitality spaces, and a residential home.
The winery first opened its tasting room in 2010 under the management of Ben Renshaw. The current owners, Cissi DeMarco and Edz Sturans, took over in August 2021, while Renshaw stayed on as the winegrower. Today, 8 Chains North produces between 1,800 and 3,000 cases of wine each year.

The property spans 13.87 acres. About 7.5 acres of that is under vine, growing varietals like albariño, cabernet franc, petit verdot, sauvignon blanc, and syrah. The winery also leases about 10.5 acres of land under vine nearby.

This property is intended to be a turnkey operation, allowing a new owner to take over winery operations seamlessly. All of the production facilities are included, such as a nearly 2,400-square-foot space in the main winery building, a 1,080-square-foot covered crush pad, and a separate, climate-controlled 1,200-square-foot bond and storage barn.

The sale also includes more than 4,000 cases of bottled wine, plus bulk wine equivalent to about 3,000 cases. And, while wine is the facility’s primary focus, 8 Chains North also operates a licensed brewery.

On the hospitality side, the property includes a 2,200-square-foot tasting room with a 50-foot bar. There are multiple indoor lounge areas, plus outdoor patio seating and fire pits.

Two private event spaces can host 130 and 40 people, respectively. The winery is a popular venue for weddings or other special occasions.

The residential property is a 4,000-square-foot ranch home with four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Built in 2003 and fully renovated in 2022, it boasts a gourmet kitchen and a saltwater pool.
