Dan Snyder, former owner of the Commanders, is selling his sprawling mansion in Mount Vernon.

The home at 7979 E. Boulevard Dr. is listed for $60 million, making it the highest-priced listing in the region. Snyder bought the property, originally listed for $60 million, for $48 million in 2021.

River View, a 16,000-square-foot home, is situated on 16.5 acres of George Washington’s original Mount Vernon estate along the Potomac River. The eight-bedroom estate with nine full bathrooms and six half bathrooms also features a few updates, including a commercial chef’s kitchen and updated audio-visual equipment in the 15-seat movie theater.

The commercial chef’s kitchen was added alongside the original kitchen, making it even more expansive, with plenty of room for caterers to set up for any grand parties.

The Federal-style home, designed by architect Jim Rill and built in 2018 by West Wing Builders, integrates eco-sustainability technology. The home has geothermal heating and a state-of-the-art well system. It also features backup generators, security systems, utilities, and entertainment systems controlled by a central computer bank.
