The 10 Most Expensive Homes Sold in Northern Virginia This July

It’s no surprise that seven of the top 10 sales last month came out of McLean.

While the housing market in Northern Virginia may be starting to cool off, there are still plenty of extraordinary estates coming off the market at outrageous prices. From new custom luxury builds to French-inspired estates to private lots with ample space, here are 10 of the region’s most expensive homes that were sold last month.

$8.7 million: 1012 Founders Ridge Ln., McLean

It’s easy to understand why this home went for top dollar. With an exterior and interior that gives off a miniature castle vibe, this 2006 build just exudes luxury and class. And it’s all in the details. From the archways in the living room and wood paneling details on the ceiling to the gold accents in the closet and private backyard pool and entertaining area, everything goes together seamlessly.

$8.04 million: 6618 Malta Ln., McLean

Nearing completion, this new build already leaves a lot to the imagination. With six bedrooms, six full and two half bathrooms, high-end finishes, and an in-ground swimming pool, the move-in ready home is just waiting for the perfect touches that turn it from a house to a home.

$5.3 million: 8407 Parham Ct., McLean

Regal is the theme that protrudes throughout this McLean property. If you aren’t wowed by the exterior when you pull into the drive, then the imperial staircase when you walk through the front doors should do it. Not enough? Then check out the exotic granite marble, and quartzite countertops, three-level mahogany-paneled elevator, home theater, and saltwater pool and hot tub and get back to us.

$4.5 million: 637 Innsbruck Ave., Great Falls

Car lovers will definitely envy this home. With nine garage spaces, there is plenty of room to tinker around with your collection of two- and four-wheeled automobiles. In addition to the larger-than-life garage setup, the Great Falls home sits on 5 acres with features that include a media room, hidden walk-in pantry, and an au pair suite.

$3.97 million: 9600 Perkins Farm Ln., Great Falls

Hidden back on a cul-de-sac, this 2-acre property is perfectly situated away from the hustle and bustle while still being close to the region’s best amenities. Created by renowned Danish architect Piet Boon, this home features extraordinary architectural elements, an open design concept, and stunning custom finishes that carry throughout the six bedrooms and seven-plus bathrooms.

$3.96 million: 1003 Carlton Ct., McLean

Lush greenery and ample space are key players at this McLean estate. Maxing out at over 8,700 square feet, this 32-year-old home has plenty of extravagance hidden behind its doors. We can’t tell if it’s the author’s library, chef’s kitchen, wine cellar, or seven fireplaces (yes, you read that right) that took this house off the market, but we are sure they definitely weren’t detractors.

$3.78 million: 8604 Brook Rd., McLean

Finished this year, this property has all of the amenities you could dream of. Located on a private 1-acre lot, this recent build includes more than 11,000 square feet, seven bedrooms (four of which have a walk-in closet and full bathroom), a fully finished lower level, and much more.

$3.67 million: 22488 Madison Hill Pl., Leesburg

This French-style estate brings a little bit of European flair to Loudoun County. From the morning room with beamed ceilings to the 300-bottle wine cellar, every day in this home will feel like an overseas excursion. Plus, the backyard provides plenty of tree coverage, creating your own private outdoor oasis.

$3.57 million: 2053 Rockingham St., McLean

If your style is modern, you might fall in love with this home. Built in 2022, this luxury residence is full of white walls and clean, crisp designs. Once you tour the inside, you’ll fall in love with the dramatic ceiling heights and endless supply of natural light. While the indoor spaces amaze, the outdoor deck and screened in porch is where all of the entertaining will be held.

$3.55 million: 8341 Springhaven Garden Ln., McLean

Located in Springhaven Estates, this brick and stone home provides spectacular amenities both inside and in the backyard. Whether you’re interested in the custom cabinets and top-of-the-line appliances in the chef’s kitchen or the incredible entertainment space in the back with an outdoor kitchen, pergola, and in-ground pool, you’ll continuously marvel at the design choices throughout this home.
