What: 2.1 million square feet of office space, 1.1 million square feet of retail, three hotels and 1,169 residential units.

Scout on the Circle
Where: Fairfax
What: 400 apartment units, 28,000 square feet of retail and a 54,000-square-foot grocery store

Ballston Quarter
Where: Arlington
What: Open-air space, public plaza, the indoor market hall and mews that will connect the street-facing shops to the rest of the mall; 22-story residential and retail tower, office space, renovated parking garage and a rebuilt pedestrian bridge

Loudoun Station
Where: Ashburn
What: 357-unit apartment complex, 1 million square feet of office space and 300,000 square feet planned for restaurants, retail and a hotel

Landmark Mall
Where: Alexandria
What: Demolition of the two-story central area of the mall to be replaced with a mixed-use residential and retail complex with a traditional street grid, sidewalks, trees and open space; 250,000 to 300,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, approximately 350 to 400 apartments

The Hub
Where: Dulles
What: 1,265 residential units, 3 million square feet of office space, 400,000 square feet of retail, 130,000 square feet of civic space and a 150-room hotel
