ARLINGTON
Pentagon Row Outdoor Ice Skating Rink

At 6,840 square feet, the plaza at Pentagon Row claims to be the largest outdoor rink in Northern Virginia and the second largest in the state. After skating, enjoy the rink’s dual-sided stone fireplace, local shopping and hot chocolate. Due to COVID-19, reservations are required for everyone attending the rink and masks will be required while on the ice and around the facility. // 1201 S. Joyce St., Arlington
MedStar Capitals Iceplex

The Washington Capitals’ practice facility is open to the public for indoor skating on a jumbo rink. Sign up for skating and ice hockey lessons, play a game of pickup hockey or enjoy nightly public skates. While at the rink, skaters will be required to have their temperature checked before entering the rink, wear a mask both on and off the ice and social distance. FAIRFAX
Fairfax Ice Arena

Attend a public skate, book a private lesson or bring a group to celebrate birthdays and more. The indoor rink is open year-round and welcomes skaters of all skill levels. Mount Vernon RECenter Ice Arena

Reston Town Center Pavilion

Take advantage of the annual freezing of the Pavilion floor. The skate rink is open from November through March. Guests will need to make a reservation online before arriving at the rink. // 1818 Discovery St., Reston
SkateQuest
Open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, times vary
Opening back in 1993, SkateQuest offers a variety of activities for skaters of all ages and skill levels. With two available rinks (an NHL-sized rink and an Olympic-sized rink), SkateQuest is able to hold hockey, figure skating and public skating events. LOUDOUN
Ashburn Ice House

The Ashburn Ice House features a pro-shop for skating merchandise and public skate times. Lessons for general skating, hockey and figure skating are available. Loudoun Ice Centre

PRINCE WILLIAM
Haymarket IcePlex

Learn to skate with lessons or at public skate nights. The Haymarket IcePlex offers the opportunity to try ice hockey for free for ages 4 to 10. Guests will need to have a temperature check, wear a face mask and practice social distancing while at the iceplex. Prince William Ice Center

The Prince William Ice Center offers public skate, a pro-shop for merchandise and a cafe. When attending a public skate, skaters will be required to wear a mask while off the ice, have their temperature checked and fill out screening forms. // 1580 Dale Blvd., Woodbridge
The Harris Pavilion

Enjoy outdoor ice skating at The Harris Pavilion. Lessons are available for visitors ages 5 and up. The rink is open from the middle of November to the beginning of March (weather permitting). While at the outdoor rink, guests will need to wear a mask and social distance from non-household members.
