Veterans Day Deals Offered to Active and Retired Military

Visit these restaurants for free or discounted meals on November 11.

Active duty and veteran military can partake in these Veterans Day deals that offer free or discounted food and drinks. If you’re looking for more options, Military.com has a list of additional specials. 

Veterans Day Wine & Comedy Night at The Winery at Bull Run 

November 8, 7 p.m. 

The Winery at Bull Run is celebrating veterans Friday evening with wine and comedy. Doors open at 5 p.m. for pre-show wine and food from the Bull Run Pizza Shack and Two Smooth Dudes food truck (tots, wraps, salads, and smoothies). Later, comedians like Robert Mac, grand prize winner of Comedy Central’s Laugh Riot, and Virginia standup comic Donna Lewis will appear. The headliner is Gulf War veteran Steve Mazan, who won an Emmy for his writing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. 15950 Lee Hwy., Centreville, $35 

Ambar

November 11

This Balkan restaurant will provide 10 percent off its unlimited brunch experience for anyone with a valid military ID. Diners can experience small plates of dishes like a strawberry waffle, prosciutto benedict, and a shrimp omelet. The deal is available at any of the three locations. Buffalo Wild Wings 

November 11 

Veterans and active-duty service members can get 10 free boneless wings and a side of fries with a valid ID. The offer is good for dining in or for Buffalo Wild Wings GO locations, where orders need to be placed at the counter. Multiple locations

Dunkin’ 

November 11 

A free doughnut will be available at all locations for active-duty military, as well as veterans, while supplies last. Veterans get 10 percent off doughnuts and coffee year-round. Multiple locations 

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse 

November 11 

BJ’s Restaurants are offering current and former military (with a valid ID) a free chocolate chunk Pizookie with no minimum food purchase. In addition to the sweet treat, vets will get a coupon to return to their local BJ’s for a free appetizer. 13930 Promenade Commons St., Gainesville; 8027 Leesburg Pk., Ste. 100, Vienna 

Golden Corral 

November 11 

Golden Corral hosts its 23rd annual Military Appreciation Night. All the restaurant’s 400-plus locations will offer current and retired military a free buffet and drink from 4 p.m. to closing. Disabled American Veterans will be there for donations to its organization. 10320 Spotsylvania Ave., Fredericksburg; 10801 Bulloch Dr., Manassas 

Starbucks 

November 11 

The ubiquitous coffee chain is offering veterans, current service members, and military spouses a free cold or hot tall coffee on Veterans Day. Multiple locations 

Wendy’s 

November 11 

Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free small breakfast combo on Veterans Day. Breakfast combos include a sandwich, side, and drink. Multiple locations 

California Pizza Kitchen 

November 11 

The pizza chain is giving veterans and active service members a free entrée and drink from a prix fixe menu (dine-in only). Service members and vets who dine with CPK on Veterans Day will also get a buy one, get one (pizza, pasta, or salad) coupon for a future visit between November 12 and 25. Restaurants are independently owned, and all may not be participating. Multiple locations 

Applebee’s 

November 11 

For 17 years, Applebee’s has been offering veterans and active-duty service members a free lunch or dinner. This year, they can choose from popular entrées like a bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders, a six-ounce top sirloin, and more. Those who take advantage of the offer will also get a $5 bounce back card for a future visit within a three-week window. Multiple locations
