The Pinemoor is a newish restaurant in Clarendon serving lots of comfort food perfect for these cold winter days we’ve been having. Their Saturday and Sunday brunch menu features are the best place to start. For sweets lovers, the chocolate-chunk pancakes are topped with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and maple syrup. A hidden gem in Fairfax Station, Chloez Café is a family-owned restaurant open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Bob & Edith’s Diner
Bob & Edith’s is a classic diner serving traditional brunch fare. Bob & Edith’s is celebrating 50 years in business and is family-owned and -operated. The original Arlington location has been a landmark since 1969. If you’re hungry post-sledding, ice skating, or other winter sport, order the steak and eggs, which includes either an eight-ounce ribeye or 10-ounce New York strip served with two country fresh eggs and your choice of home fries, grits, hash browns, and toast and jelly.
