The Hillsboro farm practices Family-Based Freedom Farming, with pasture-raised Broad Breasted turkeys that have plenty of access to grass. The birds have no artificial additives, GMOs, or chemicals. North Fork Fields
This farm prefers slow-growing breeds of heritage turkeys that produce superior depth of flavor and appreciates the food history involved with raising turkeys that our ancestors would have eaten. They currently raise White Hollands which are thought to have been brought from Europe to the New World by early explorers, bred with white European turkeys and then re-imported to the Colonies by Dutch settlers.
