This year, two of spring’s biggest holidays—Passover and Easter—will be celebrated at home, away from restaurants, family gatherings and parties with friends. But, just because restaurants’ dining rooms are closed during the coronavirus pandemic doesn’t mean you have to completely cancel your dining plans.
Multiple restaurants across the region are offering Easter and Passover meals through their takeout and delivery services. Find 15 special offerings below.
The Easter and Passover season is one of celebration. Do so with offerings from Great American Restaurants (including Artie’s, Carlyle, Coastal Flats, Ozzie’s, Patsy’s American, Mike’s American, Jackson’s and Silverado), featuring prime rib packages available for pick up. You can also order the prime rib package for two which includes 1.5 pounds of prime rib with mushrooms, au jus and horseradish; spinach dip and chips; a family-style field green salad; mashed potatoes; three mini croissants; and two slices of white chocolate cake. Need more? Double it to make it a prime rib package for four, or get the prime rib roast for 5 pounds of prime rib. Mia’s Italian Kitchen, Lena’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap and The Majestic are all offering three-course menus for Easter and Passover, which each serve four people. Lena’s menu includes the choice of spring salad or fried mozzarella; chicken cacciatore with either spaghetti puttanesca or zucchini lasagna; and tiramisu. Mia’s Italian Kitchen will include the choice of either braciole di manzo or chicken cacciatore rollatini; cacio e pepe spaghetti pie; escarole with Italian sausage and white beans; and tiramisu. The Majestic is serving spring salad; the choice of either rotisserie prime stripling or rotisserie leg of lamb; crispy garlic smashed red bliss potatoes; rotisserie spring vegetables; and lemon icebox pie. Families can pick up the Elysian Fields Farm Leg of Lamb meal with rosemary garlic jus, priced at $140, which feeds two to four people, from 2941 Restaurant this week. It includes a choice of soup and salad, greens, a side and a dessert. These include roasted tomato soup, a Greek salad, bacon, peas and asparagus, French pomme puree, chocolate cake and much more. Guests can also select from five wines by the bottle. Thompson Italian is offering Easter dinner boxes as meals to cook at home for the holiday, one with meat and one a vegetarian option. The boxes come with items ready to reheat at home, and wines from the beverage menu are available as well for pairings. Highlights include mushroom arancini; garlic bread; lasagna bolognese with bechamel and Parmesan; carrot cake; roasted asparagus; vegetarian baked rigatoni; and a twice-baked almond brioche with a hint of raspberry and chocolate for breakfast the morning after. Trummer’s is offering a special curbside Easter menu (which must be ordered by Saturday, April 11 at 7 p.m. for a Sunday pickup), which includes beef short ribs; whole herb-roasted chicken; baked ziti; cornbread with honey butter and strawberry jam; and more, as well as wine bottles for purchase. For Easter dinner from Field & Main, pickup is available only on Saturday, April 11 from noon to 6 p.m. Menu items will be served cold and are meant to be reheated.
