Meokja Meokja Korean BBQ Is Expanding to Chantilly

The restaurant will open a location in the former Dogfish space in the Greenbriar Town Center.

Meokja Meokja, a popular Korean BBQ restaurant in Fairfax, is planning to expand with a new location in Chantilly, FFXNow reported. The restaurant is planning a new space in the Greenbriar Town Center near Chantilly.

The upcoming location will fill the space at 13041 Route 50, Fairfax. It was previously occupied by the Dogfish Head Alehouse. Dogfish closed in 2023, but a new location is reportedly in the works for Reston Town Center.

According to FFXNow, the Greenbriar Town Center space is about 6,200 square feet and can fit between 100 and 150 people. An exact opening day has not yet been announced.

Meokja Meokja’s first location — in Fairfax Circle — is known for its grill-your-own Korean barbecue experience. It was on Northern Virginia Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2024.

Our critics lauded the Combo 2, which comes with brisket, pork belly, bulgogi, and galbi, plus gooey corn cheese, a bubbling steamed egg, and tofu soup for two.
