A new upscale dining room has opened in Vienna — The Maple Room Restaurant & Lounge.
“It’s a restaurant and lounge nestled in the small town of Vienna with a fantastic vibe and amazing food,” says co-owner Effie Sarantis, of MAC ST Hospitality Group in Sterling. “An unparalleled dining experience, where guests are immersed in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication.”
She co-owns the restaurant with her husband, Christos Sarantis. The Maple Room opened at 377 Maple Ave. W. on November 26 in the spot where the former Amphora Restaurant used to be.
In addition to a sophisticated dining room, The Maple Room offers a stylish lounge area with cozy bar seating. Guests can complement their meals with choices from an extensive global wine list or indulge in bespoke cocktails crafted by the restaurant’s skilled mixologists.

The menu offers a canvas of rich and hearty flavors, Sarantis says. Each dish is a testament to culinary innovation, employing locally sourced ingredients and showcasing the harmony of diverse flavors from around the world.
“(It’s for) anyone looking for a fantastic culinary experience in a warm and elegant setting,” Sarantis says.
The American fare is highlighted by flavors and ingredients from around the world. Start off with a classic French onion soup, oysters Rockefeller, or duck leg confit, followed by inventive salads with housemade dressings. Even Sarantis has favorites on the inspired menu.
“The vegetarian tagliatelle Bolognese is to die for, and the flavors are unmatched by even the best meat lover’s Bolognese,” she says. “But when I’m in the mood for a great steak, it’s hard to decide between the prime boneless ribeye or the filet mignon.”
Entrées also include garlic prawns with squid ink angel hair pasta, prime steaks, and chops with housemade sauces. Meticulously roasted chicken, tagliatelle Bolognese, salmon, lamb and tuna round out the menu.
“My wife and I are so excited to try The Maple Room,” says Reston foodie Stephanie Oliver. “It looks like a perfect blend of options for us both — branzino for her and a decadent ribeye for me.”
