Last night the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) hosted the 34th annual RAMMY Awards, recognizing the best of the region’s restaurants, chefs and drink-makers. (Only members of the association are eligible to win.)
Northern Virginia players won a few big prizes, including Jonah Kim of Yona for Rising Culinary Star (we also picked Yona as one of the best new restaurants); Port City Brewing Company for Regional Food and Beverage Producer; Mike Isabella Concepts for Restaurateur of the Year (the group’s establishments include Yona, plus NoVA’s Kapnos Taverna, Pepita and Requin); and Northside Social for Favorite Gathering Place.
