Unlike most CSAs offered directly through farms, where customers pay for months of produce at the beginning of the season, Chase the Submarine, a sandwich shop in Vienna, now offers a weekly meat-based version. Place orders by Monday for pickup that Thursday for a box (small $30/week, large $60/week) filled with items like ground beef, hanger steak, steelhead trout fillets, chicken legs … or the carcass for stock-making. Add-ons include house-cured bacon, eggs and wine.
