Before we used to circle bikes and board games in the Toys R Us catalog. Now we pin and link. Here’s what’s on the Food Desk’s gift list.

Wish List
Things we want. (Here are things we love already and recommend.)

I want to fry everything in duck fat. –Stefanie Gans

Less stem, less chance of spilling sparkling everywhere. –SG

Or…if I’m in the stem mood. –SG

I vow to start baking, therefore I need a rolling pin. –SG

Because how do I not already own this? –SG

And if I’m inviting Thomas Keller into my kitchen, I probably need his pots and pans. –SG

I’m into the cider comeback. –SG

You know when you have some sweet potatoes that you’re looking to cook and don’t feel like going through all of your cookbooks to hope to find a sweet potato recipe? Try Short Stack Editions, single-ingredient mini-cookbooks. –SG

It’d be much easier to eat fruit at the office if I kept a little knife here. –SG

Maybe two knives at the office. –SG

Will this weird shaped glass help stouts perform better? I don’t know if it works, but I’m willing to find out. –SG

Gourmet, framed. (RIP) –SG

My love of elephants and coffee collide. –Susannah Black

Of course I need a tiny, refillable, keychain Sriracha bottle. –SB

Because sometimes plain water can be a little boring. –SB

Who could pass up locally made strawberry balsamic preserves? -SB

I do in fact intend on using this to booze on the beach. –SB

All I need is a crunchy baguette, and my spicy EVOO pairing is complete. –SB

Because as much as I love avocados, they can be a pain to eat. –SB

For those who also use their Ipads to follow recipes. –SB

When I have no idea what exactly it is that I’m craving, although it’s usually some weird combination of sweet and spicy. –Nicole Bayne

I don’t know why they wouldn’t just call it adult LEGOs. –NB

Because your beer should never go flat. –NB

Coffee DOES NOT taste the same reheated. Just me? –NB

Literally wake up and smell the coffee. Where’s the bacon version? –NB

A Swiss-army … spatula? -NB

I want to play Virginia Wine-Opoly at least once. –NB
