I don’t know when fake food holidays started bombarding Twitter feeds, but it sure is easy to hook a story to them.
The fake holiday overlords declare August as National Sandwich Month. Abiding, we provide you with plenty of coverage in Northern Virginia Magazine’s August issue, on newsstands now.
The issue lists some of my favorite sandwiches from new shops in NoVA (above is Bubba Mike from Alexandria‘s Sweet Fire Donna’s) and helps you build a better sandwich at home with tips on choosing the best cheeses, greens, breads, meats, pickles and fermentables.
