5 Northern Virginia Spots Serving Up Eggnog

Say cheers to the milky rich, seasonal drink.

By Priya Konings December 5, 2025 at 7:00 am

There is no beverage that signals the arrival of the holiday season like eggnog. These five NoVA spots are serving up the holiday classic in different iterations, including nonalcoholic, frozen, and traditional.

Bear Branch Tavern

This eggnog is also offered to-go so you can save a bottle to drink when the holidays are over. The team says the secret to their eggnog is aging: “We age our batch of eggnog for over 60 days before we start selling it. We age egg yolks with ground nutmeg, cane sugar and a generous amount of whiskey.” You can reserve a bottle on their website. 133 Maple Ave. East, Vienna

Coffee In

For a warm, caffeinated version, head to Coffee In for their eggnog latte. Made with a double shot of espresso and a nonalcoholic nog consisting of milk, eggs, cream, sugar, and spices, this cozy beverage is the best way to start your day this winter. Prefer an iced coffee, even in winter? Try their shaken version with eggnog and espresso blended with ice to create a chilled, frothy coffee drink. 6434 Landsdowne Centre Dr., Alexandra

Clyde’s

Clyde’s drink features eggnog, dark rum, brandy, rye whiskey, and a touch of madeira for some sweetness. Bold and heady, you will be dreaming of this drink long after it’s gone. 1700 N. Beauregard St. Alexandria, 42920 Broadlands Blvd., Broadlands

Del Ray’s Popup Bar

The décor, snacks, and beverages at this winter pop-up are guaranteed to get you into the holiday spirit. Their Cousin Eddy’s Eggnog is an amaretto-infused beverage with vodka as its base that combines an eggnog mix, amaretto, and a sprinkle of cinnamon to create a rich, nutty concoction. 2312 Mt. Vernon Ave., Alexandria

HiFi Tex-Mex BBQ

This winter, Hifi is offering a twist on classic eggnog by serving up a frozen version of the original. Made with a boozy blend of bourbon, rum, and cognac, house made “churro-infused milk,” nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon and, reports the team, a dash of “holiday cheer,” this cocktail is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Insider tip: The team is happy to accommodate you if you prefer a nonfrozen version. 2000 Mt. Vernon Ave., Alexandria; 8298 Glass Alley, Fairfax
