Wicked Good Lob-sta Rolls, Please

Craving lobster? These NoVA restaurants feature noteworthy lobster rolls.

Can seafood lovers find a luscious lobster roll in NoVA? Ab-shell-lutely. Check out these delightful destinations for this craveable crustacean.

King Street Oyster Bar

King Street Oyster Bar makes ordering tough. Choose from the hot buttered lobster, the cold lobster dressed in a tangy lemon aioli, or splurge on a double lobster roll. Come hungry; leave satisfied. 12 S. King St., Leesburg; 1 E. Washington St., Middleburg

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls

Lobster lovers flock to both of Mason’s locations for succulent seafood in a buttery bun. The menu offers the basics, plus a variety of creative twists on the classic: lobster BLT, meat from a 1-and-a-quarter pound lobster including the tail, or combos with a soup or side. 11939 Democracy Dr., Reston; 4017 Campbell Ave., Shirlington; 243 West Falls Station Blvd., Falls Church

Ned’s New England Deck

Come to Ned’s New England Deck for its succulent lobster roll and stay for a creamy cup of clam chowder or beef sammie. It’s a casual spot to sit at a picnic table, down a Boston beer, and savor your favorite chunk-filled lobster roll, merrily mixed with Ned’s lobster dressing. 10655 Fairfax Blvd., Fairfax

Seamore’s Arlington

Seamore’s offers shore-to-door dining, with sustainably sourced products in its Maine lobster rolls. Chefs add a magical blend of mayo, celery, and Old Bay seasoning to deliver a remarkable roll, alongside crispy fries or a crunchy salad. It should be noted that Seamore’s is a cashless operation. 2815 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington

The Salt Line

The Salt Line, a winner in Northern Virginia Magazine’s 50 Best Restaurants of 2024, wins fans for its life-giving lobster roll. Order with traditional mayo dressing or just melted butter. There is no wrong answer. Dine at the hipster patio bar and rack up enviable looks from passersby as you devour your luscious meal. 4040 Wilson Blvd., Ballston

Vola’s Dockside Grill

It’s nirvana on a bun. Vola’s serves up a lobster roll, drenched in lemon-tarragon mayo on a buttered New England–style roll. The stunning view is a bonus at this Alexandria spot, not to mention Old Bay fries accompany your roll. 101 N. Union St., Alexandria

Hank’s Oyster Bar

This Alexandria restaurant is a go-to spot for fresh seafood, and its lobster roll is no exception. The sandwich comes paired with Old Bay fries, perfect to enjoy in the seasonal rooftop spritz bar. 818 N. St. Asaph St., Alexandria

Ford’s Fish Shack

At Ford’s, you have your choice of four distinct lobster roll styles. Try it warm with butter, chilled with mayo, or go for the Grand Marnier, with chilled lobster and crispy whole belly clams, dressed in mayo and remoulade sauce. There’s also a surf ‘n turf option, with sauteed lobster, sirloin tips, and horseradish in a roll. 25411 Eastern Marketplace Plz., Chantilly; 4420 Ice Rink Plz., Ashburn; 19308 Promenade Dr., Leesburg
