Pizza lovers have something new to look forward to. Mountain Mike’s Pizza, a California-based chain known for its 20-inch “mountain-sized” pies, is planning to open three new locations in the NoVA area.

The brand announced this month that it has made a deal with local franchisee Niraj Hemrajani to open three Mountain Mike’s locations in Fairfax and Loudoun counties.

“After years of brand growth throughout the West, Virginia is another exciting leap forward for Mountain Mike’s Pizza as we expand along the east coast and introduce our legendary crispy, curly pepperonis and community commitment to our twelfth state nationally,” said CEO Jim Metevier.

This move is part of an ongoing expansion effort from the brand, which has ongoing development deals in 15 states.

“With every state we enter, we are reinforcing our industry standing as a national pizza brand, but we’re also firmly committed to our authentic, family-friendly brand DNA, which is why we’re being embraced so warmly by local operators and their communities in new markets across the country,” said Chris Britt and Ed St. Geme, principal owners of Mountain Mike’s Pizza.

The brand offers a selection of classic pizzas, plus specialty pies like Spicy Himalayan, Pineapple Chicken Luau, and BBQ at the Ranch. It also serves boneless and regular wings, salads, desserts, and sides like garlic knots.
