Grab a Fresh Bite at These New Restaurants in Northern Virginia

April showers bring new flavors to the area.

Get ready to indulge this month. A new batch of inspired dining destinations has debuted in the region. And we’ve rounded up a whopping 20 new restaurants to try.

Alexandria

Valletta Port

Transport yourself to Malta at Valletta Port, the newest Mediterranean eatery in Old Town. Each dish is handcrafted meticulously by chef Daniyar Goliyev, including signature starters, spreads, and house-made pastas, paired alongside an expansive collection of wine, beer, and craft cocktails. Valletta Port also offers a coffee and pastry shop. 682 N. St. Asaph St.

Eras Pop-Up Bar

Swifties rejoice: Eras is a Taylor Swift-themed pop-up cocktail bar in Alexandria’s Del Ray neighborhood. This immersive experience transports guests through all 11 of Taylor Swift’s iconic albums, each represented by unique decor and ambiance. Highlights include a wall dedicated to her ex-boyfriends and a variety of themed cocktails named after her songs (try the Romeo & Julep). The trendy bar welcomes all ages before 8 p.m., and only-21 plus after. 2312 Mount Vernon Ave.

The Farmhouse Tuscan

The Farmhouse Tuscan offers rich Italian flavor in a rustic, welcoming setting. Enjoy Mediterranean classics with a twist here — hand tossed pizzas, house-made pastas, grilled meats, and more. Dishes celebrate fresh, local ingredients in a menu that owners describe as bold Italian for the modern palate. 7879 Heneska Loop

Arlington

Lantern Restaurant and Bar

Lantern Restaurant & Bar is a recently opened Asian eatery offering a blend of authentic dishes and familiar favorites. Notable menu items include crispy whole sweet-and-sour fish, artfully prepared, as well as classics like orange chicken, beef with broccoli, and fried rice. Biryani Grill

Loud ‘n Roasted

Loud ‘n Roasted Coffee Roasters has expanded its presence with a new Ashburn location. Established in 2019 in South Riding, the family-run business is renowned for its freshly roasted coffees and monthly coffee flights. Fairfax

Grub Palace

Grub Palace offers a diverse menu of Afghan and Mediterranean cuisine. Notable dishes include the Chicken Kabob Platter, featuring tender, marinated chicken grilled to perfection. The Beef Kubideh Platter showcases seasoned ground beef skewers. Jet’s Pizza

This Herndon location marks the chain’s continued expansion in Northern Virginia, following recent openings in Annandale and Alexandria. Meanwhile Coffee

This new café features a vibrant, comic book-inspired decor and offers a variety of coffee favorites, including unique options like an Iced Lavender Mocha. Oseyo Korean BBQ

Oseyo Korean BBQ is located in the Lansdowne Town Center, taking over the space previously occupied by The French Hound Brasserie. The restaurant features traditional Korean barbecue dining, with tables equipped with grills for guests to cook meats.
