Spring Wine Fling Offers an Array of Tasty Deals

Restaurants are offering a two-course meal with wine pairings for a special rate.

The Spring Wine Fling is back this month with special dining deals at dozens of area restaurants. The offers runs from March 20 to 31.

During this annual event, diners at select DC-area restaurants can enjoy an appetizer, an entree, and two glasses of wine for $55 per person. It’s presented by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), the same group behind the biannual Metropolitan Washington Restaurant Week.

“Spring Wine Fling is a great way to welcome the new season while supporting our local restaurant community,” said Shawn Townsend, president and CEO of RAMW. “This promotion gives diners the opportunity to explore new flavors, discover new wines, and enjoy a high-quality dining experience at an incredible value.”

The menu offerings will either be pulled from restaurants’ existing offerings or made special for the event. Wine pairings are chosen to complement each course. The deal is available for dinner service only.

More than 60 restaurants are participating in the Spring Wine Fling, including:

  • Alta Strada in the Mosaic District and DC
  • Apéro in Georgetown
  • Makers Union in Arlington, Reston, and The Wharf
  • Sfoglina in Downtown DC, Rosslyn, and Van Ness
  • Yume Sushi in Arlington

There will also be a special wine dinner at DC’s Taberna del Alabardero on March 26. This will welcome José Ramón Urtasun, owner of Bodega Remírez de Ganuza winery, and feature a selection of Remírez de Ganuza wines. Tickets are $170 per person.
