Little Beast Cafe & Bistro to Open New Location in Falls Church

After closing its Reston location in 2023, this eatery’s Detroit-style pies are coming to NoVA once again.

Little Beast Cafe & Bistro, a DC-based pizzeria and café known for its Detroit-style pizzas, will soon open a new location in Falls Church, ARLNow reported.

The new space is located at 111 E. Broad St., on the ground floor of the apartment complex Broad & Washington. It’s expected to open some time in 2025.

Little Beast previously had a location in Reston, which was on Northern Virginia Magazine’s list of the best places to find pizza. The Reston location of Little Beast and Red Velvet Cupcakery, which shared a space, closed in December 2023, citing “an increasingly difficult climate to run a small business.”

The location in the Chevy Chase area of DC has remained open. The pizza is available as a round, brick-oven pie or in the signature Detroit style, which is a square pie with thick, bubbly crust. Diners can go simple with toppings like pepperoni or opt for specialty pies like the 6 Mile, which comes with salami, pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, and spicy honey. Cupcakes from Red Velvet are also available.

The new location plans to maintain a family-friendly atmosphere, and there are plans to also operate a takeaway bakery with soft-serve ice cream, according to ARLNow. The restaurant will offer brunch, lunch, and dinner service.
