Reserve These New Year’s Eve Dinners at NoVA Restaurants to Ring in 2024

New Year’s Eve is a time for celebration, so it’s only fitting that you’d mark the occasion with a lavish meal.

By Maggie Roth December 21, 2023 at 9:50 am

Before you set off to ring in the New Year with dancing and Champagne, sit down for a luxurious meal to mark the occasion. These NoVA restaurants are serving special New Year’s Eve dinners that will have you bidding 2023 farewell and welcoming 2024 with open arms. Just be sure to book fast — reservations may fill up soon.

2941

Where better to end the year than at Northern Virginia Magazine’s No. 1 Best Restaurant of 2023? 2941 will serve a five-course prix fixe for $190 per person. Expect a culinary adventure with prawns crudo, scallop tagliatelle, surf-and-turf, and a festive “Exotic Champagne” dessert with mousse, mango compote, passionfruit, and Champagne sorbet. 2941 Fairview Park Ave., Falls Church

Dolce Vita

Get to this Fairfax wine bar early for just dinner or go between 8 and 10 p.m. to catch a DJ and a midnight Champagne toast. The first- course options include the traditional Italian New Year’s Eve meal of sausage and lentils (it’s said to bring good luck!). Follow it up with lobster polenta, fish ragout or mushroom cannelloni, and a decadent dessert. Early birds with reservations between 5 and 7 p.m. pay $75, while later reservations cost $125. 10824 Fairfax Blvd., Fairfax

Sfoglina Pasta House

In addition to its full menu of housemade pastas, Sfoglina will offer three special dishes for the holiday. There’s a cannelloni di mare with blue crab, lobster, ricotta, and truffle bechamella for the pasta, followed by herb-roasted prime rib with potatoes and spinach for the entrée. A Champagne and grapefruit bomba ends the meal on a sweet note. 1100 Wilson Blvd., Arlington

The Salt Line

The Salt Line will offer a selection of specials, starting at 4 p.m. December 31. Begin with a platter of dressed oysters, then dig into a veal osso buco or share a branzino bouillabaisse that’s made for two. At the bar, sip on the classic Champagne or chase a pour of Talisker 10 Year Old Malt Scotch Whisky with a Chesapeake oyster. 4040 Wilson Blvd., Arlington

Trummer’s

This New Year’s prix fixe will transport you to Amalfi for the evening with fresh seafood and bright, citrusy flavors. The four courses are full of decadent Italian-inspired dishes like grilled octopus, pasta al limone, and sweet potato gnocchi, with three choices for dessert. Sip on imported Italian wines, prosecco, and housemade limoncello. The meal is $148 per person. Reservations 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. 7134 Main St., Clifton

Tuscarora Mill

Housed in a picturesque, restored grain mill, Tuskie’s makes for a classic setting for a celebratory dinner. On New Year’s Eve, there will be a special three-course menu. Start with scallops, beef tartare, or a New Year’s salad. Entrée options include halibut with curry risotto, a roasted rack of lamb, and a grilled elk chop with sweet potato polenta. There will be a selection of desserts from Tuskie’s sister bakery, South Street Under. 203 Harrison St., Leesburg
