Check out these bars, cocktail lounges, and wine bars for an unforgettable night out.

By Megan Perry September 26, 2023 at 8:56 am

Itching to round up the girls and spend a much-needed evening out enjoying some delicious, crafty cocktails and sharing some laughs? You’re in luck. These NoVA spots are bound to provide the perfect atmosphere for a girls’ night out.

Fats Fairfax

Get your singing voice ready and head to Fats Fairfax on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights for some karaoke. Think of what an epic night it could be after you have a couple of drinks and belt out your favorite throwbacks with your favorite girls by your side. And why not grab a bite to eat to eat as well? Get a taste of New Orleans with options such as jambalaya, po’boys and Cajun fries. 10673 Braddock Rd., Fairfax

King & Rye Cocktail Garden

Nothing screams girls’ night quite like fancy cocktails and photo ops. At King & Rye Cocktail Garden in Old Town Alexandria, not only can you find a tasty selection of drinks, but it also provides a fun backdrop for photos. Grab a round of Sippin’ Prettys (Sipsmith gin, St. Germain, tonic, and grapefruit) and take a fun pic under the Sippin’ Pretty sign. Since the garden is outside, be sure to check it out before the cold weather gets here. 480 King St., Alexandria

Ms. Peacock’s Champagne Lounge

With a large selection of Champagne and sparkling wines to handcrafted cocktails, you really can’t go wrong at this elegant lounge. With fun cocktail names like Le Fizz (Grey Goose with elderflower liquor, lime juice, and sparkling water) and The Billionaire (Catoctin Creek rye whiskey, housemade grenadine, absinthe, bitters, simple syrup, and lemon juice), it’s well worth the stop. Plus, the lounge holds special events, like Cocktails and Clairvoyants and Oyster Fridays. 929 N. Garfield St., Arlington

Muse Paintbar

Channel your inner artist while also enjoying a drink and some small bites with your girls. There are sharable cocktails, such as limonata punch, blood orange punch, and tropical shandy. Tray a sampler platter to mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, and boneless wings. Muse Paintbar has locations in Arlington, Gainesville, the Mosaic District, and Woodbridge. Multiple locations

Whino

Maybe your girls are partial to wine. Whino in Arlington’s Ballston Quarter is the perfect place for you. With a vast selection of whites, reds, sparkling, sangria, and rosés, Whino won’t disappoint. Of course, you can still get a beer, cocktail, or shareable drink. Shareables include sparkling white sangria and Whino punch (two rums with pineapple and orange juices, and banana liqueur). For a weekday girls’ night, check out the happy hour drink and food specials, as well as the murals and artwork. 4238 Wilson Blvd. 2nd Floor, Arlington
