If you’re hoping to upgrade your Independence Day celebration this year, look no further. These Arlington and DC bars are offering upscale experiences with fireworks views.

The booming snap, crackle, pop of fireworks lights up the DC sky every July 4. While there are plenty of places to watch the sparkling display from the ground, why not level up your viewing experience this year and get closer to the action? These rooftop bars in Arlington and DC will serve up premium celebrations with top-notch views of the fireworks on the National Mall.

VUE Rooftop

Settled high on top of Hotel Washington, VUE Rooftop’s chic ambiance and panoramic views make for an ideal celebration spot. General admission to the “Red, White, and VUE” event grants access to the stellar views, while the VIP package includes an American buffet dinner and an open bar. DJ Snow and Dr. Fu cover band will be providing live music for all guests throughout the night. VUE Rooftop’s signature cocktails include The Bi-Partisan Blend (an espresso martini featuring horchata and chicory pecan bitters) and fruit-forward scotch concoction, The Blushed Lush. 515 15th St. NW, Washington, DC, $75 general admission, $200 VIP

Skydome Restaurant

Perched on top of Crystal City’s DoubleTree Hotel, Skydome comes with a twist, literally: It’s the area’s only revolving rooftop lounge. Coupled with stunning 15th floor views, Skydome is perfect for watching the fireworks from every angle. Tickets include an all-American buffet and two free drinks (beer or wine) throughout the night. 300 Army Navy Dr., Arlington, $175 general admission

Officina at The Wharf

Celebrate the Fourth at the Wharf with Officina’s breathtaking terrace views. The Italian restaurant, bar, and market will be hosting an all-you-can-eat Italian barbeque buffet in the Trattoria at the beginning of the night. Afterward, guests are invited to move upstairs to the Rome-inspired Terraza for a fireworks viewing party. Firepit or couch seating for the viewing party is available for an extra cost that will go toward bottle service or drinks for your party. 1120 Maine Ave. SW, Washington, DC, $125 general admission, additional $200 to reserve a couch or $500 for firepit seating upgrade

Top of the Gate

The storied Watergate Hotel’s glitzy Top of the Gate is the optimal spot for an upscale celebration. A 360-degree immersion in the DC skyline means clear views of the main event of the night.
