Now, you can do all three at the same time, and support the INOVA Emergency Preparedness Fund while you’re at it.
Sterling-based Beltway Brewing Company and Lake Ridge-based Water’s End Brewery have joined forces to create a brand-new India pale ale (IPA) titled PPE, set to be released Saturday, April 25.
The name, a play on the typical acronym for “personal protective equipment,” stands for “people performing under extreme conditions,” according to the breweries.
Every $18 pack includes a $6 donation, meaning for every 500 six-packs sold, $3,000 will be donated to INOVA’s emergency fund, which will help the hospital system cover additional staffing, specialized equipment and service the needs of patients during the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation.
The partnering breweries have already donated an initial $3,000 in advance of the beer going on sale, and all individual donations to the fund (which you can do now) are being matched up to $200,000 by BStrong GEM on behalf of the Verstanding Family Foundation.
