Dog lovers, the wait is over! Arlington’s only indoor dog park and bar, Snouts & Stouts, announced it is opening on December 2.
Snouts & Stouts is set to host a grand doggy party with plenty of activities for both the dogs and owners to enjoy. Details will be announced closer to the opening date. Those who have already signed up as monthly or annual members will be invited to a soft opening in the coming weeks.
“Whether it be friends, family, architects, contractors, county officials, and all of our members and followers, we want to thank you for all your help in bringing Snouts & Stouts to life and being patient with us as we approach our grand opening date,” the family-owned business wrote in its Facebook post over the weekend. “Snouts & Stouts is a personal dream of mine coming true so it really means the world and more.”
The indoor, off-leash dog park and bar will provide the best of both worlds for pooches and their owners. The climate-controlled dog park features over 6,000 square feet, specialized K9 turf to keep your pups safe and the area clean, and soundproofing to help keep the sounds of barks to a minimum. There will also be a smaller gated section for small dogs to play.
The Arlington business will offer doggie day care, boarding, and training. All dogs must be over 20 pounds and at least 6 months old to be enrolled in day care or boarding. Boarding reservations will need to be made at least 24 hours in advance.
The beer and wine bar, and snack café will be the go-to gathering place for all the owners. Some of the offerings include smoothies, bakery treats, salads, build-your-own fruit bowls, wings and chicken tenders, fries, and build-your-own pup plates in addition to beer, wine, and cocktails.
Snouts & Stouts’ dog park is set to complement the Shirlington Dog Park – which is just down the street – especially on those days with bad weather or during the colder months.
Membership packages start at $45 for the monthly membership and $365 for the annual membership. Members receive 10 percent off at the bar and snack café, plus 10 percent off dog treats, daycare and merchandise. Day passes will also be available to purchase online or at the door. Prices are $10 during the week and $15 on weekends. Humans always enter for free, with or without a dog.
Dogs must be at least 16 weeks old and up to date on vaccination in order to enter the dog park. Those that are at least 1-year-old are required to be spayed or neutered unless they have a medical exemption.
